Genie Bouchard is back in the semifinals at a Grand Slam tournament as she defeated Angelique Kerber 6-4, 6-3. Bouchard becomes the first player since Dianara Safina in 2009, to qualify for a spot in the semifinals of the in the first three major tournaments (Australian open, French open & Wimbledon). Bouchard has progressed by leaps & bounds since a year ago. Entering the 2013 Wimbledon Tournament, the young Canadian was ranked No. 66 in the world; next week she will reach a world ranking of at least No. 8.
