Petra Kvitova advances to her 2nd Wimbledon Finals

The 2011 Wimbledon Champion, Petra Kvitova, advanced to her 2nd career Wimbledon finals after defeating Lucie Safarova in the semifinals 7-6, 6-1. Kvitova will face the winner of the Simona Halep / Genie Bouchard match. Kvitova owns a 1-0 record vs. Bouchard, but she is 0-2 in her career vs. Halep.

Kvitova returns to the finals as the only player born in the 1990′s to have won a major tournament. Kvitova plays her best tennis on the grass surface & proved that today after defeating Safarova for the 15th consecutive time. The Czech Republic ladies have had a superb tournament having 3 players reach the quarterfinals. By reaching the Wimbledon final, Kvitova will move to No. 4 in the WTA World Rankings.

Simona Halep Marches into the French Semifinals

Tennis’ newest rising star, Simona Halep, reached her first career Grand Slam semifinal after beating Svetlena Kuznetsova 6-2, 6-2. Halep, the 4th ranked player in the world, has been dominant at Roland Garros, not dropping a set this tournament.

After a 3 hour rain delay, the 22 year old Halep, put all of the nerves and pressure aside and just played her game. That game of hers, has been one of the best games during the 2014 season. Halep ripped forehand after forehand, wearing Kuznetsova down. Halep has become a force on tour & fashionable on the court as well.  During her match versus Kuznetsova, Halep gave us a fresh look in her glow orange adidas tank with a tribe purple skirt with bright orange under shorts.
